India-ASEAN Car Rally
The India-ASEAN Car Rally is conceived as an effort to strengthen India’s cordial relations with the South-Asian countries. This rally aims to promote trade and tourism between ASEAN and India. The first India-ASEAN Car Rally acknowledged a ritualistic flag-off from none other than the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh himself from Guwahati, Assam. The first rally witnessed 250 participants from not only India, but also South-Asian countries in 60 vehicles. The car rallied across Assam, Nagaland and Manipur before entering Myanmar. This car rally stretches for 8,000 km rally from Guwahati to Batam Island in Indonesia. This car racing involves Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Viet Nam and Thailand, and the North-Eastern Region (NER) of India comprising the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Indian National Rally Championship
The Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) is an adventure sport organized by Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Motorsports Association of India (MAI). It is a driver-co driver combination championship and is based on the point system. This championship first received its National Championship Title status in 1988. The sport's current governing body is MAI as approved by FIA.
Great Arc Rally
The Great Arc Rally is a month long rally that sets off from Kochi in the south to Mussorie in the north. The rally takes place in almost 5000 km long route from south to north. This car rally is to commemorate the ‘Great Arc’ survey done during the 19th century.
The Great Arc, a mammoth project, began 200 years ago by a visionary called William Lampton to map a line 2500 km long from north to south that would reveal the curvature of the earth to begin the task of accurately mapping the entire subcontinent.
The Great Arc Rally aims to take up the spirit of the Survey by asking competitors to drive in as straight a line as possible from the tip of India at Cape Comorin to Hathiopaon near Mussoorie. This car rally was organized by Rhythm of A Road Rally (ROARR) and kalypso adventures. The rally comprised of 27 participants in twelve cars and three Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs). The Rally kicked off on 6th February 2009 at Kochi, Kerala and passed through 10 states covering 5000 kilometers to reach Mussorie in a month’s time.
The cars participated in this rally are: the 1935 Bentley special sport, 1937 Lagonda, 1952 Chevrolet convertible, 1958 Jaguar XK150S, 1965 Volvo 122s, 1966 Volvo 144s, 1968 Mercedes Benz280sl, 1969 MGB roadster, 1970 Mercedes Benz 280sl, 1970 Buick convertible and 2007 Land Rover 90 Defender.

Vintage Car Rally
The Vintage Car Rally sets off from New Delhi up to Sohna (Haryana). Some of the very rare collected cars are run in the rally. Some of the show-stealers of the Vintage Car Rally are ‘35 Jaguar Convertible or a ‘34 Austin Saloon Deluxe or an 1898 Humberette.
Monsoon Rally
Held on the annual basis, Monsoon Rally lifts off from Kolkata. An interesting and noticeable feature of this rally is that it is very important to get wet in order to earn points. The Monsoon Rally started in 2000. The rally is being run in the popular time-speed-distance format with secret time control.
Himalayan Car Rally
The Himalayan Car Rally is one of India’s most important and challenging rallies. The car rally begins in New Delhi and concluded in New Delhi as well. Usually, the rally is divided into four legs adding up to over 3,200-kms, concentrating on the mountain terrains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Its popularity can be noticed from the fact that participants in the rally are not only from India, but also from various other countries. The Himalayan Car Rally gives a once-in-a lifetime experience.
Women Car Rally by NGO ‘Uthaan’
Who says women are bad drivers? Women can take part in car rallies as well! Thanks to Uthaan.
The Women Car Rally is organised by an NGO called Uthaan in partnership with Ibis, Power Grid, Indian Oil, Radio Mirchi, Desert Trails and Avenues Travel Services etc. The Women Car Rally is a small effort of this NGO to create awareness in social segment. It has a support of other big enterprises such as Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Indian Oil, Rajasthan Tourism, India Today group, NDTV, Dainik Jagran, Times of India & Hindustan Times & Limca Book of Records. It is considered as one of the National Record Creating Events.

Blind Man Car Rally
The Blind Man Car Rally is a unique endeavor to raise funds for its projects under the aegis of the national theme 'Freedom through Education'. The Blind Man Car Rally started for the first time in Mumbai on February 11th, 2007. This car racing is held in partnership with National Association for the Blind (NAB) and is aimed at creating awareness about illiteracy in addition to highlighting the initiatives of Round Table India to eradicate illiteracy and the challenges faced by the Visually Impaired. This exceptional event with blind navigators is a Time - Speed- Distance (TDS) Rally where visually impaired navigators will partner the Participants on a 70 km journey in Mumbai commencing from the NAB building on World Sea Face. The Navigators will guide the participants through a series of check points. This will help highlight skills and abilities of the Visually Impaired as well. The rally is expected to draw over 100 participants from different walks of life.
Kalinga Green Car Rally
The Kalinga Green Car Rally is being organized by Kalinga Motor Sports Club (KMSC). Though not on the annual basis, yet KMSC organizes different small scale rallies. In the past few years, the Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) motor rally routed in and about Rasgobindopur and Rajabasa airstrip is a noted one.
Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Car Rally
The Maruti Suzuki Desert Storm Car Rally is considered as one of the toughest motorsports escapade in India. With the adventure, thrill, zeal and excitement, the rally passes through the terrains of Thar Desert, the rocky mountains of Aravalli and the slippery white sands of Rann of Kutch. The event covers almost 2,600 km long distance and judges the participants on their driving skills in various terrains. This Rally already has seven successful years under its belt. This Rally is an earnest endeavour of Maruti Suzuki to popularise motorsports in India.
