Mumbai Clinches 39th Ranji Title
 Mumbai clinched its 39th Ranji title with a thrilling victory over Karnataka on Sunday. Karnataka got closer to the 338-run victory target through exciting prospect Manish Pandey (144) and Ganesh Satish (75). Even after their dismissal, the lower order hung on for a win before Ajit Agarkar (5-81) got the last wicket of S. Aravind (10) to bowl out the home team barely short of a win at the Gangothri Glades Cricket Ground.
India eyeing series whitewash against Bangladesh



Bolstered by the return of captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, India will eye a 2-0 series whitewash when they take on Bangladesh in the second cricket Test starting here Sunday.
 Roger Federer Storms Into Victory In Australian Open

The disappointing rate during week one of the Australian Open was reduced to nothing on Saturday as Roger Federer set the pace for seeds with a storming victory into the second week of the season's first major.

The top-seeded Swiss was on fire - his lethal form starting to peak nicely - as he strolled to his 50th match win at the event, overwhelming Spain's Albert Montanes 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 for a place in the fourth round.

Federer won on the day his twin daughters Charlene Riva and Myla Rose turned six months old.


Kaka To Play For Haiti Quake Victims

Brazilian midfielder Kaka will join world's leading footballers for a fund raising football match for Haiti quake victims. The UN Development Programme (UNDP) announced Kaka’s participation on Thursday.
